Bandcamp Friday alert, Bandcamp Friday alert! You know the drill, you have been warned!
We had the homie Logs in the studio last night on Third Verse. He debuted a brand new track, Animal Dentistry produced by Factor Chandelier and featuring the greatest rapper to ever do it, Myka 9. It will be on all streaming platforms Bandcamp and an animated video tomorrow! The song is super sick! You want to hear it now listen to last nights Third Verse episode over at UGSMAG
It is always a great feeling to fill holes in your record/music collection. Everyone has records they didn’t get for whatever reason over the years and are glaring omissions in their collection. I filled one of those recently and I almost ashamed to admit this one. I finally picked up a copy of Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five - The Message. I can hear everyone now, “What?, you didn’t have that?” I know, right? This was such a huge hole in my collection. I love The Message so much! To finally have a vinyl copy in my collection feels really good. It is always an amazing day when you can fill a hole in your collection but some just feel better than others.
The homie Wordbuglar dropped 100 more copies of the 3rdburglar album on his Bandcamp. If you missed out on the vinyl campaign you can grab one now.
Anyone that knows me, knows how much I love mascots! Mascots are the ultimate. I recently picked up some mascot trading cards and I am really stoked with them and I just wanted to share them.

Record One
Sacred Hoop - Bring Me The Head of Sexy Henrietta
This was such a nice surprise to see it finally released on full-length vinyl for the first time. Originally released on a 8-song cassette tape (which I never owned) and a 3-song 12” single back in 1995-96 distributed by the iconic ATAK mail-order and TRC. I had the 12” and played it a lot over the years, but nothing compares to finally having this one complete. I have always been a big Sacred Hoop fan, they have always been one of my favourites over the years. My jamb is Moes Lullaby. It is such a classic and amazing example of everything I love about Sacred Hoop! This one comes with a super fresh insert that features the original cassette J-card and some old show flyers as well as a few more 8x10 papers. One sheet features some history of the release, the other two are articles from magazines from this era. Really dope bonus material right up my alley. Standard Chaps Black Vinyl!
Record Two
Homeliss Derilex - HD’s vs the SP-1200
The second of two recent Homeliss Derilex 21/200 on Standard Chaps Black Vinyl, again going 2 for 2 this week. It seems like more and more releases are available once again on Black Vinyl and the trend of coloured records may have peeked. 🤞This one again is on Hip Hop Enterprise and was originally released on cd only back in 2005. It is a really great album to own on vinyl. I swear it just makes more sense to hear this one on vinyl with all the samples and stuff. I am not sure why some albums just sound better on certain formats but I think there is something to that idea. It is hard to explain but it clicks when you hear it. My jam is Deep Thought!

I dig mascots, too. I have to ask: what do you think about Gritty? I have no real attachment to the Flyers (I've always loved their logo, though), but I LOVE Gritty. Positive energy emanates from that creature.
